There’s another great mix of events taking place, that cater for everyones tastes. From concerts, to comics – seal spotting to a little bit of Northern Soul.

Love comics? The 3rd Lakes International Comic Art Festival takes place from the 16th to 18th October in Kendal.  Now, I know that this isn’t a Furness event as such, but it’s something that will appeal to a large number of people in the area, so we’ve included the details here for you. It’s well worth checking out.

The Carpenters Story is a fantastic show that’s coming to The Forum this Saturday, whilst The Coronation Hall has a Northern Soul Charity Dance Night planned.

Barrow AFC are at home this Saturday, (and look to put last weeks 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Bromley behind them) against Welling United.

And South Walney Nature Reserve have a wonderful workshop planned, as their seal identification workshop takes place this weekend too; perfect for the whole family.

So wrap up warm, get out and about, and have a wonderful weekend.
