Come along to Barrow AFC on Saturday 30th June and be part of fantastic free festival that’s centred around celebrating Health & Well-being between 11am and 3pm
The event is aimed at building stronger, happier, healthier communities along the lines of the Eden Project, The Big Lunch: that as many people as possible across the UK have lunch with their community sometime in June in a simple act of community, friendship and fun with the addition of a Wellness Market Place and Health MOT station.
There will be a range of FREE activities on offer, from traditional sports day games to Yoga and Mindfulness. There will also be a "Well-being market place" providing information, free confidential MOT health checks; top tips for better health, healthy eat advice and demonstrations.
The event is being sponsored by Cumbria County Council, Barrow AFC Community Sports, Rotary International and the Bay Health and Care Partnership.
Cumbria County Council Community Development Officer, Simonetta Tiribocchi said;
‘BeWellFest is a place to be inspired, try something new and most importantly, have fun! Bring a picnic and enjoy a free fun day, plus there is no limit on the amount of activities you can do.
So whether you want to pick up some tips or perhaps learn a bit about nutrition and healthy recipes, there will be plenty to choose from.’
So make sure you keep the 30th June free, pack a picnic and enjoy all the wonderful free activities on offer.
