Local SME’s and politicians in Furness have come together with other business groups including the Federation of Small Business, Ulverston Business Alliance and the media. They are determined to get superfast broadband into Furness so that we can all benefit from a 21st century communications network and compete with larger towns and cities.
BT have announced a ‘Race to Infinity’ competition, where you can vote online for our area to become one of the first to enjoy BT’s new fibre optic broadband with speeds of up to 40mb.
Only 5 areas which have the largest percentage of votes by 31st December 2010 will win the chance to bring this new superfast broadband to their area.
