For the last few weeks market traders at Barrow Market Hall have opened the doors to shoppers on a Tuesday.
Many traders have been asking for an extra trading day to be added for a while and the run up to Christmas seems like a great time to test out the demand.
The market will now be open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 9am until 5pm - and with Barrow Borough Council and the BID announcing their new 'Free After 3' parking initiative, it's hoped to see an increase in footfall as shoppers flock for Christmas food and gifts.
