Following the latest government guidance on COVID-19, to keep their customers, communities and their staff safe and healthy, Barrow libraries are now, once more closed for public access.

However, you can still take part in their fabulous January Challenge 2021

Back for its 8th year running, Barrow Libraries are so excited for The January Challenge 2021. The January Challenge is 31 days of fun, quick and FREE creative challenges for each day of the month. Join them as they kickstart the year with creativity and positivity - and their brand new model! This year, 64 Million Artists enlisted the help of three inspiring creative people to make The January Challenge bigger and better than ever...

  • · Poet, broadcaster and author Lemn Sissay MBE
  • · Writer, artist and part time superhero Jess Thom (aka Touretteshero)
  • · Multi-award winning journalist Yomi Adegoke

Each of the collaborators have selected 31 amazing crowdsourced challenges. Barrow Libraries are delighted to be taking part again this year. Look out for posts across their social media platforms as well as weekly newsletter where they will be sharing the creative challenges for the week. Don't forget to share your creative endeavors with them too.

Lets make 2021 a creative, inspirational, happy year.

Barrow Library may be closed to the public, but you still access their services by exploring the libraries online resources or try their Select & Collect service which will give you access to books. Find out more at www.cumbria.gov.uk/libraries
