Local businesses support for St Mary’s Hospice has taken many different forms over the last 28 years including donations of goods, money or staff time. We’re grateful for that support but have become aware of the current difficult economic climate for businesses.
We’re therefore looking for ways to benefit the hospice and business partners at the same time. This has led to the first St Mary’s Corporate Service ‘St Mary’s Executive Coaching’ opening for business in Autumn 2016.
Val Stangoe, Chief Executive of St Mary’s Hospice, a qualified executive coach who leads on coaching delivery, says, ‘We all stick with comfortable patterns of behaviour no matter the difficulties these cause us. Executive coaching is about helping sole traders, business owners and senior managers free themselves from unhelpful patterns and find new ways of working to create better outcomes.’
Val is offering a free initial coaching session to local business owners to ‘taste’ the new service on the basis that it can be hard to imagine how coaching works. Val says, ‘The easiest way to find out if it is for you is to come along for a 45 minute session, free of charge, no obligation. Just ring me on 01229 580305 to arrange a session.’
St Mary’s plans to add other services to its Corporate Service menu over the next 12 months and will be approaching local business owners for their views on how it can do this most effectively.
