There are always lots of events and activities planned to keep the whole family occupied over the Bank Holiday Weekend; some a bit more unusual than others!
Now our region is renowned for the many fantastic festivals that take place throughout the year, from food and music festivals to the Dickensian Festival; but Scales has its own quirky festival taking place this month – and we love it.
From Sunday 28th May through to Mon 30th May, the Scales Scarecrow Festival takes place.
Once again, the village will be full of straw characters, in different poses and at different locations for you to admire as you drive through or walk around. There’s always a theme for this fantastic annual event, and because 2016 is an Olympic year, all the scarecrows will be in their best sporty gear!
It’s great fun for the kids to wander round and see the amazing creations through the village and to make sure you’re fed and watered, cream scones will be available on all three days at Aldingham Parish Hall from 2pm – 4pm.
So for something a little bit different in the way of entertainment this Bank Holiday, be a sport and pay the Scales Scarecrows a visit.
