During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.

Big steps have been taken towards changing attitudes and habits relating to men’s health around the world but there is still much to be done to catch up with the women’s health movement. Via the moustache, Movember aims to fulfill its vision of having an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health, by continuing to spark conversation and spread awareness of men’s health each year.

Owner for the General Burgoyne – Craig Sherrington is hoping to galvanise the whole village in Urswick to support the cause. At the annual Urswick Autumn Fest last week they encouraged villager so sign up to Movember. The big “shave off” will be on the 1st of December with celebrations at the pub!

Also, Top Gear School of Motoring  – have encouraged their male instructors to take part this year.
