Love and writing – they go hand in hand. When you think of romance and love, poetry, and prose, plays and drama immediately spring to mind, from Romeo and Juliet to The Lady of Shallot.

Well, lovers of literature will be in for a real treat next week, as nine-strong group Roose Writers Creative Group will be presenting their latest collection of work at Roose Library on Monday February 13th.

The afternoon performance entitled ‘Luuurve’, will display love through many various forms of prose, poetry and drama. The show starts at 2.15pm and last for one hour, with all proceeds going towards Macmillan Cancer Support.

There is no charge for the event, it’s free; however donations will be welcome and will go to supporting the charity.

Performing on the day will be: Helen Ogden, Jayne Jakeman, Bex Gawne, Ed Rafter, Pip West, Janet Shield, Joan Carroll, Rob Atkinson, and Jasmin Vaughan.

The group meet at Roose library on the second Monday of each month, and they are alaways looking for more people to get in touch and join them.

For more details about this event, or on how to join Roose Creative writers, please phone the library on 01229 811674.
