The FSB Worldpay UK Business Awards celebrate the cream of UK small businesses, celebrating their successes and achievements. The awards reflect the diversity and drive of British businesses, from every sector and region of the UK.
1,000 businesses registered for the prestigious awards and Playdale was one of 4 companies nominated for Business Exporter of the Year.
The award ceremony was held at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London, and was hosted by the 1st ever winner of BBC’s The Apprentice; Tim Campbell MBE.
The driving force behind Playdale’s move into foreign markets was the decline in business here in the Uk brought about by the recession. As the demand for their services fell, Playdale decided to look further afield and turned their sights to breaking into international markets.
Playdale currently have distribution contracts in 24 countries. That’s a fantastic achievement, but they don’t want to rest on their laurels. They hope to increase this to 40 over the next two years.
This is the third award Playdale have been nominated for recently, as they are still in the running for: The Greater China Awards’ Rising Star Award (for businesses who have had links with Greater China for less than three years), and the Family Business United’s Family Business of the Year Award for the North of England and Northern Ireland; recognising the contribution that family firms make to the global economy.
Congratulations to all at Playdale, it's fantastic to hear wonderful news like this.
