Lamont Pridmore the Barrow in Furness-based firm of chartered accountants, tax and business advisers, has been named as Accountancy Firm of the Year 2011 in the North West Society of Chartered Accountants (NWSCA) Annual Awards.
The prestigious accolade was presented at a glittering awards ceremony held on 24 November in Preston.
Judges were looking for a firm with the following qualities and attributes:
• a record of winning, servicing and retaining clients;
• effective training and development programmes to meet the needs of its employees and clients;
• delivers value-added, innovative or new services to help clients in the face of recessionary pressures;
• proactivity and diversified products and services, which set it apart from the competition;
• commitment to corporate social responsibility.
Lamont Pridmore chief executive Graham Lamont said:

Last month, Lamont Pridmore won the title of Most Innovative Small to Medium-sized Firm in the UK for 2011 in annual awards organised by the 2020Group in Birmingham, the UK’s largest membership organisation for forward-thinking accountants.
Lamont Pridmore was also named as one of the UK’s top 100 accounting firms in the UK in the recent Accountancy Age Survey of the profession and one of the top 10 Best Employers in the UK in the British Accountancy Awards 2011.
