Get Creative is an annual campaign that shines a light on all the great cultural activity that takes place in our local community on a regular basis. It encourages people to try their hand at doing something new and creative.
This years Get Creative campaign has now been turned into a virtual experience. When you use the hashtag #GetCreativeAtHome you can explore some of the amazing creative activities that are being shared to help us express ourselves in a creative way during these testing times.
The campaign is built on believing that the power of creativity and imagination can not only unite people but supports them in maintaining good mental health and remaining connected to others, things that are more important than ever right now.
You can join Barrow Library on Facebook every day between 9th and 15th of May from 10am till 3pm where they will be sharing great cultural activities and crafts that you can enjoy at home.
Younger book borrowers can also enter a fabulous competition. The library is holding a ‘design your own book cover’ competition. Simply design a new cover for a book of your choice, then post a picture of it on Barrow Library’s Facebook page to be in with a chance of winning.
Prizes will be available for collection when the Library re-opens.
