It’s that time of the year when our local Foodbanks are busy preparing for Christmas.
December is always the busiest month of the year for our local Foodbanks, they provide a lifeline for the most needy in our community and help to spread a little cheer at what is a very challenging time of the year for many.
If you are in need of help this year, or if you’d like to drop off a donation to your local Foodbank we’ve put a list together of opening times over Christmas for Barrow, Millom and Ulverston Foodbanks.
Barrow Foodbank
Monday 18th December – Deliveries only in the borough of Barrow.
Tuesday 19th December – Open for collections only 11am – 1pm
Wednesday 20th December – Deliveries only in the borough of Barrow.
Thursday 21st December – Open for collections only 11am – 1pm
Friday 22nd December AM – Deliveries only in the borough of Barrow.
Friday 22nd December PM - Open for collections only 1pm - 3pm
Millom Foodbank
Tuesday 19th December – 11am – 1pm deliveries only in the Millom area.
Friday 22nd December – 11am – 2pm deliveries and collection available.
Ulverston Foodbank
Monday 18th December - 11am - 1pm collection only.
Thursday 21st December - 11am - 1pm collection only.
