Family firm Lamont Pridmore joins accountancy elite

Congratulations to Lamont Pridmore, the Barrow-in-Furness-based firm of chartered accountants, tax experts and business advisers, who have been named as one of the Top 100 accounting firms in the UK.

A newly published survey of firms by trade journal Accountancy Age shows that Lamont Pridmore was the third fastest growing accountancy practice in the UK in 2010, with its fee income going up by 29%.

The Top 100 placing is just the latest accolade for Lamont Pridmore, which was the first chartered accountancy firm in Cumbria to achieve ‘Investor in People’ status. It is also the holder of a National Training Award, given to just 50 winners in the UK each year.

Lamont Pridmore managing director Karl Burrell said: “We have helped a lot of our clients through the recent difficult economic times, saving some from bankruptcy and improving their profits massively – some by an incredible 90%!  Through positive word of mouth, other businesses have heard about our performance and this has led them to us.”
