Church Walk Pre-School Nursery Needs Your Help!

Church Walk Pre-School Nursery is a well established  and much loved Nursery School. Initially established as a playgroup in a second hand portacabin, the playgroup registered as a charity in 1994 and became Church walk Pre-School in 1997. The nursery is managed by a committee of volunteers who work closely with the 11 trained members of staff providing quality care and a safe environment for the children.

In order to maintain that level of care it was essential that the tired, old portacabin be replaced with a new, safer building. As the portacabin has neared the end of it’s life, the group have spent recent years saving and planning towards their goal of having a new purpose built nursery. This year they finally got the go-ahead to start building, and say goodbye to the portacabin that has served them so well over the years.

As the school summer holidays started, preparation for the new building began. The Nursery have decided to use local company Guy McCullough Building Services, as whenever possible the nursery looks to “buy local”. Work has progressed very quickly; the portacabin has been demolished, removed from site, and the building work is well under way on the impressive new plans for the nursery. It already looks fantastic, and parents and staff can’t wait to see the finished result!

It’s not too late to donate, if you would like to make a donation to the Nursery new build fund please visit their Givey page at: https://www.givey.com/churchwalkpreschoolnursery
