The countdown to Christmas is well and truly on!
Have you started to plan your Christmas yet? Well Barrow Town centre has everything you need to make this Christmas that extra bit special.
There’s plenty of Christmas cheer in Barrow Town Centre, with fabulous entertainment planned, and a wide range of shops, cafes and restaurants to visit.
Barrow BID has a programme of festive events to look forward to – starting with the Christmas Light Switch On which takes place in the Town Square on Saturday 17th November. The fun starts at 2pm with a fantastic line up of local acts taking to the stage before the switch on takes place.
To get everyone in the Christmas spirit there will also be a Christmas Choir Competition in the town centre too. The choirs will be performing in various locations in the town centre on Saturday 1st and 8th of December.
Are you making those Christmas shopping lists? Need inspiration to find the right gift? With a wide range of independent stores and National chains as well as the fantastic Barrow Market Hall to choose from, there’s every chance you’ll find the perfect Christmas gifts right here in Barrow.
And to make things even better – Barrow BID have teamed up with Barrow Borough Council to offer FREE parking after 12pm every Friday on Portland Walk and Whittaker Street Car Parks. This initiative starts on Friday 23rd November and carries right through till Christmas Day. You can also still park for free on both of these car parks after 3pm on all other days.
So make the most of what Barrow Town centre has to offer this Christmas, and don’t forget to enjoy a bite to eat and a nice drink or two when you’re out and about.
