Barrow Community Kitchen's Christmas Hampers

Christmas is just around the corner and for many of us thoughts are quickly turning to making sure we have a fantastic time, it’s easy to take everything for granted. But for others, Christmas is a lonely, tough time of the year, one that brings a lot of challenges.

That’s why the good folk at Barrow Community Kitchen need your help to spread some much needed Christmas cheer.

For the last couple of years, Barrow Community Kitchen have delivered Christmas hampers to those in our community who are in need, struggling financially or socially isolated, helping make Christmas that little bit easier.

Last year saw a fantastic response and all at the kitchen were warmed with the amount of support and donations given. This year they are calling upon the generous and kind hearted nature of the people of Barrow to help again, if possible.

All hampers are delivered by the team on Christmas Eve, and the good people of Barrow Community Kitchen would be very grateful of donations of the following items:

*Tinned meats or puddings.
*Tinned soup, beans and vegetables.
*Tinned fruits, custard and puddings.
*Coffee, tea bags and sugar.
* Biscuits and cakes.
*Jams, marmalade.
*UHT milk.

*Toiletries and gift sets.
*Sweets and Chocolate.

So if you can help with any of the above items, it would go a long way to helping those in need in the community this Christmas. Whatever you can spare would make a big difference to someone’s life over the Christmas break.

To make a donation, or to find out how you can help at Barrow Community Kitchen pop in and see the team at Roosegate Community centre or email them on communitykitchen1@outlook.com
