A Cut Above The Rest!

When it comes to having my hair cut, I guess I’m like most typical guys. I only go when it’s absolutely necessary. I can go months without having a trim, I just don’t have the time and hey, let’s face it - you can’t improve on perfection (yeah right!)

So after weeks ( OK…months) of putting it off, It was time to face the music and get it cut!

I’d seen that a Turkish Barbers had opened up last year in Market Street, and I’d thought at the time that it looked quite nice, and after hearing from various people that it was well worth a visit, I decided to try it out for myself.

From the minute I walked in through the door I was made to feel welcome, in fact the smile and greeting I received as I walked in almost made me look behind me to see if they were talking to someone else.  That’s great customer service, it’s always nice to be greeted with a smile it costs nothing, but it’s surprising how many people don’t do it.

So far, so good - now for the cut!

I have simple tastes when it comes to haircuts, so I was only after a trim, nothing fancy. But not only did I get a great trim; my eyebrows were trimmed, my beard was trimmed and my hair was washed and dried too.  He even used a flaming pair of scissors (when I say flaming , they were literally on fire!) to burn away the light hairs on my ears. I was a bit took aback, but I wasn’t about to argue! This was clearly far different to my normal barber shop experience. I even had a cup of tea put in front of me, it’s a simple thing, but was a really nice touch.

It costs £12 to have your haircut here, that’s more expensive than some of the other barbers in town. But you get what you pay for and, in my opinion it’s well worth the extra couple of quid.

So gents treat yourselves and pay Charisma Barbers a visit. You won’t be disappointed.

After having my hair cut there, I won’t go anywhere else in future. I just won’t leave it as long next time!
