A scheme to help homeowners whose homes are ‘off the mains gas grid’ make their properties greener, more sustainable and save money on energy bills is now accessible to more following an increase in the income threshold for applications.
Plans have been submitted by Wolverhampton Homes for the construction of 99 new energy-efficient council bungalows to replace 93 post-war prefabs on the Lincoln Green Estate in Bushbury.
Plans are to be developed for six more pioneering Net Zero Neighbourhoods across the West Midlands thanks to £6.2 million of government cash to speed up efforts to tackle climate change and help the region reach its #WM2041 net zero target.
Hundreds of young people in care in Wolverhampton were rewarded for their resilience, hard work and achievements at an inspirational awards celebration.
