Walsall is getting ready for a day of creativity, music, making and entertainment as MakerFest returns to the town centre this Saturday (26 September).
Families across Walsall will have even greater access to support, activities and health services as Walsall Gala Swimming & Fitness Centre becomes the newest spoke site in the borough's Best Start Family Hubs network.
Funded by Walsall Council and produced by Bostin Creative, visitors to Walsall MakerFest 2026 can enjoy a packed programme of free creative workshops, transforming the Town Hall into a vibrant hub of making, creativity and discovery
More than 9,000 children registered for Walsall’s Holiday Activities and Food programme (HAF) this summer, with families praising the range of activities on offer and the support the programme provides for children, parents and carers.
Over 600 young children across Walsall have taken part in the free Summer Ready to Learn Adventure Passport scheme, with feedback from families highlighting the positive impact on children’s confidence, communication and social development.
