Children, young people and families across Walsall are being encouraged to get outdoors and explore the borough's parks and green spaces this summer through a programme of free and low-cost activities delivered by Walsall Council.
Swimming, inflatables, roller skating, football camps and family activities will be on offer throughout the school holidays across Walsall’s four leisure centres.
For children, the prospect of no school for six whole weeks is a welcome treat, but for their responsible adults, it will be a matter of scrambling round trying to fill each week with fun activities to keep them occupied.
Walsall Council is inviting residents to make the most of their local libraries this summer, with a programme of free activities full, with something for all ages.

West Midlands mayor Richard Parker is backing an initiative which will see nearly 300 young members of the Army Cadets, Scouts, Girls Brigade and St John Ambulance take part in workshops in West Midlands schools.
