RSM Domestic Appliances has been a feature of the Knaphill High Street for the past forty two years and, for the last fifteen years, has been under the ownership of Managing Director Steve Haydon. An ex-engineer himself, Steve has used his knowledge to successfully grow the company and since taking over has expanded the business to include two further stores in Ashtead and Bookham, which has increased staff levels from 5 to 15. More recently, extending the Knaphill premises to manage their repairs department from a dedicated office.
RSM pride themselves on the ability to offer a complete service to their customers. Their ‘can do’ attitude means that as well as offering advice at the point of purchase, they aim to deliver within 24 hours and will fully install all domestic appliances.
Once installed, old appliances and all packaging can be removed and disposed of according to government guidelines.
In 2008, due to their high level of service in both sales and repairs and their large stock holding and delivery speed, RSM realised they were in a position to successfully service the needs within the corporate sector especially with the demanding requirements of tenanted properties.
They now employ a Commercial Account Manager who successfully maintains approximately 30 letting agencies and business accounts. Free of charge site visits, measuring up and assisting new tenants with any queries regarding appliances are just some of the ways RSM demonstrate that ‘can do’ attitude to their corporate customers.
Domestic Appliance Repairs:
When an appliance breaks down you need a fast efficient repair to get you back on track, with no nasty surprises when the bill arrives!
RSM offer a fixed call out/labour charge so you know that however long the engineer is in your home, the call-out charge remains the same and, if your appliance needs taking off-site to facilitate a repair, loan appliances are available for a small charge.
In the event that the engineer is unable to resolve the problem or you decide not to go ahead with the repair, RSM will present you with a voucher to use in store when choosing a replacement appliance, or to spend on anything else in store.
