Bill's
We are always impressed when we visit Bill's. The staff are top notch and the food never disappoints. The staff are very happy to chop-and-change your meals (great if you've got a fussy eater on your hands). Want to swap your chips for salad? Sure. Want bacon on your veggie burger? Why not. Anything is possible in this relaxed, chilled out restaurant.
Ambience
Pay attention to this family-run Turkish restaurant - it's a real gem. Ambience won Hungry House's Top Takeaway award last year which is no mean feat! This year they're offering a Valentine's Day set menu for £23.95 pp, including a starter, main, dessert and bottle of wine.
The Ivy Cafe
Whilst not quite fine dining, The Ivy Cafe comes fairly close. Derived from the world-famous Ivy restaurant, this 120-seat cafe has a small garden terrace and private first-floor dining room if you really want to make it a special occasion. If you want to get dressed up on Valentine's Day, we'd recommend going here.
Pho
Newly opened chain of Vietnamese food, Pho, opened in Wimbledon late last year and is a popular choice for those looking for something a little different. Curries, noodle soups, spicy salads and a dedicated children's menu (if you can't find a babysitter) fill the menu, and most of the dishes are gluten free if you want to avoid post-meal bloating - great news for your Valentine!
Holy Smoke
For a slower, more intimate pace check out neighbourhood restaurant Holy Smoke on Leopold Road. The menu is adorned with all the classics, but each dish is lovingly made with a special twist. We've heard they serve the best burger in town...
