Local Wimbledon business, Anderson Food Hygiene (www.andersonfoodhygiene.co.uk), is now a multi-award winning training company following the success of their Managing Director, Sylvia Anderson, at the prestigious 2012 Merton Business Awards.

Winning the Entrepreneur of The Year Award in the Merton Business Awards 2012, in association with WSM Advisors Ltd, means that Anderson Food Hygiene has picked up 4 accolades since 2010, not only from their relevant Food Hygiene Industry but, importantly, from the local business community as well.

The Merton Business Awards have been developed by South London Business, Merton Council and Merton Chamber of Commerce, in order to reward and celebrate the many dynamic and innovative businesses throughout the borough.

Managing Director Sylvia Anderson said about winning the award “I’m absolutely delighted to have been nominated for this award but to win is outstanding and it is such a fantastic achievement to be recognized for my hard work in the local community”.

Why Sylvia Anderson Won?

Before reading out the winner the judges said this of Sylvia:

‘A truly inspirational entrepreneur, who is passionate about their industry, uses alternative learning styles to educate other professionals and is driven to succeed. Having won many industry awards against other major leading brand companies, this entrepreneur is creative, forward-thinking and growing the business with no obvious effects of the recession. With a new expansion into the international market, this entrepreneur is set to go global’.

Anderson Food Hygiene was also finalist for Best Business for Training and Development 2012. The awards were held at the prestigious All England Lawn Tennis Club, Wimbledon.

Judging

The 2012 Merton Business Awards judging panel was comprised of representatives from South London Business and individual category sponsors. Following an initial scoring and short-listing by the award’s team, entries were then scored for a second time by a member of the judging panel. All short listed companies attended a judging day, with a face to face interview with a judge. Following the interviews the judging panel convened, the scores were reviewed and the winners selected.
