The Big Beach - Grand Launch
Saturday 25th July 2015

Yes Watford town centre is going to have its very own beach with real sand by the Pond Performance area and this Saturday kicks off a programme of beach based activities. Including face painting, magic shows, a yoga taster session, workouts to help you get beach body and come 5pm you can sit back with a cocktail and chill out at Oceania’s Ibiza session.

To see the full programme of activities and events throughout the week, visit Watford Big Events

If hitting the beach isn’t your thing, then you might like to pop down to..

The Little Gallery Tearoom
Saturday 25th July, 10:30am until 4:00pm

As well as homemade cakes and fair trade drinks, the summer tea room at Watford Museum will have a wide range of handmade jewellery; bombs and soaps; paintings on display and for sale.

There is also a workshop “Introduction to Napkin Decoupage with artist Stephanie Sinclair” between 1.30 - 3.30pm. Its £25 per person and booking is essential (all materials are supplied). Call 01923 232297 for more info or to book a place.

On the Run Scooter Day!
Sunday 26th July, 11:00am until 8:00pm

This is a great fundraising event in it's second year at Croxley Guild of Sports & Social Club in aid of a local charity DRUM.

There are scooter games, stalls, a licensed bar and live music, including a headline act, The Spitefires, who recently supported Paul Weller at Watford Colosseum in March.

It’s not just MODS or scooter fans who will enjoy this day out. It’s an event for all generations and small faces are welcome too (see what I done there?).

The weather outlook is looking very changeable this weekend (nothing new there then hey). At the time of writing this, Saturday will start off with rain and cloud but clears to sunshine with possible showers. Sunday starts off bright but possible rain later in the day.

Needless to say go prepared for all weathers!
