Our volunteer led medical equipment service provides wheelchair hire and short term loans of equipment in almost 1000 outlets in the UK, helping tens of thousands of people every year.
The best thing was the level of information that was provided from the British Red Cross first aid course – enough for me to feel that I could do something positive given an emergency situation, but not so much detail that I felt overwhelmed with information. I am left with a feeling of confidence that I at least know I could make a difference.
