Jump is a registered charity based in Warrington, which provides special memories for children suffering from life limiting health conditions.
The charity offers a personalised and professional range of media services to families, such as DVD, video, photo albums and books.
Jump provides professional photographers who come to the child's home or to an outing to record special events like birthday parties and christenings. These unique memories are then captured and presented to the child and their family to treasure forever.
Every single donation that Jump receives will go towards helping a child to receive a unique memory package. Donations can be made in minutes using the Virgin Money Giving website or by simply calling Jump using the details to the right of this page.
Jump fundraise throughout the year to bring happy memories to children that have been referred to the charity every year. Just one of the ways that Jump fundraise is through events organised by the team or by supporters of the charity.
Jump hold an annual family fun day every year and also take part in the Jacob's Ladder walk, which takes participants to the Peak District for a challenging climb nearly 2000ft above sea level.
If you would like to get involved with a fundraising event or are perhaps thinking of organising your own, please contact Jump using the details to the right of this page.
Like many charities, the story of Jump had an emotional start. It was created in memory of Jacob Hawthorn, a remarkable little boy who suffered with muscular dystrophy. The condition is a muscle wasting disease that severely affects movement and mobility.
Jacob's family worked very hard to overcome the barriers that the condition presented to ensure that he had lots of positive experiences in his life. Sadly, Jacob passed away in 2004 aged just 3 years old.
His family found a small amount of comfort from the wonderful collection of photographs and video clips they had built throughout his life and so the idea behind Jump was born. The charity now captures special memories of children with life-limiting illness for families to cherish forever.
