Lovely park just out of Walsall town centre. Nice gardens with a lake and plenty of ducks, geese and swans that the children enjoyed watching and feeding. Only a short walk from there to the play area which is lovely with plenty of equipment for children to use.

The Arboretum is a very therapeutic place to visit and I look forward to the Visitor centre opening soon. There is a lovely walk around the lake and park and also beyond the extension, along the canal which is very pretty.

A fantastic place to escape in what can be a very dreary town..beautiful gardens and great wildlife...the not so visited back end of the arbourtum (which is the old golf course) is excellent for dog walking and leads to the canal and has a lovely variety of birds for the keen bird watches..Buzzards and heron often frequent this section of the arbourtum...

A wonderful park, with lots of various areas for a different activities. Playground, water feature, walks, bike rides, sporting games, eg. football. The only thing i would improve on is the catering side. needs food and drink eateries. :) well done Walsall.

We enjoy visiting this park, it has lovely grounds, a lake and a nice park. Never used the swimming area however it looks as though it would be fun for younger children.

Every time we visit there seems to be groups of teenagers causing problems which is a shame as it is a nice park.

I have visited walsall arboretum on many occasions & it is so lovely to have on your doorstep especially when your a dog owner.

The grounds are rather vast, they are separate by different lakes which you can feed Ducks/geese. Various gardened areas with lovely plants & shrubbery.

The further you get inside the Arboretum you will find tennis courts, a large play area & skate park.
On a summers day it's lovely to take your family or friends there to relax or have a stroll around.

Given how close the Arboretum is to the town centre (less than half a mile), it is a beautifully arranged park with 2 lakes, the 'main' one of which is quite big. The Arboretum starts off as a fairly 'formal' park with garden areas but it then extends to a more 'uncultured' area (Arboretum Extension) and eventually, you could walk into greenbelt. In the 'Extension', there is a playground for young children.

Spring flowers just coming through. Whole place very tidy. Plenty big enough for a lovely stroll. Visits here in the summer months when the weather is warmer is more pleasant, but it is still nice to be out in the fresh air here.

I never really thought about reviewing this park before, though I have walked through there many times throughout the year. It is a large park with a lake and plenty of ducks and swans to amuse the kids, or to just sit on a bench and quietly feed these friendly fowl.
Great in the summer for picnics, and in the winter to clear your mind.
Enjoyable, pleasant walks any time of the year.

I moved into the area about 3yrs ago and have spent every summer with my family in this park! Last year my son was 1 and he loved the splash play area as did i chasing him round it.Me and my partner take a picnic and have it down by the lake. There are bands on in the summer which is nice. There is a large car park up the top end (away from the town) with all day free parking. There is also shops near the lake just outside the park if it's a last minute thing.

The arboretum is a lovely haven from the hustle and bustle of urban life. The Arboretum is clean and welcoming. The walk around the lake is very relaxing.

We were taken to the aboretum - lake, walks and stunning trees all free. The area is very large and we only covered maybe a third of it. Go there!

Went here in the sumer and realy enjoyed it fed the ducks and had a great walk with the girlfriend. It's also nice to see its a clean place and no dog mess either. It was good when illuminations were on but sadly they no longer have them but still a nice place to spend a couple of hours. I would go again.7/10

We was planning on going out one day but couldn't make our minds up so I decided to look on TRIP ADVISOR"..... If it wasn't for that I don't think we would've had a brilliant time so I really thank TRIP ADVISOR and the person who thought of this great n wonderful idea to give the public such as me to choose n help us with our day out, forget about me having a good time my kids where going crazy n since that day when it comes to the weekend they only think about the ARBORETUM .... Was it a mistake.... NO... Anything that keeps my kids happy and I think other parents will agree with me,can't wait for the summer now cuz I think it's the best time to go n enjoy but there's other things that r going on too rite now for people who love to be out in the cold, wouldn't suggest kids in the winter tho that's just my opinion but my kids wouldn't really care if it was winter or summer!!!
THANK YOU TRIP ADVISOR ;-)

The arboretum has now been restored to it's former glory . Is now beautifully maintained and an oasis so close to the busy town centre

Walked around the arboretum on a sunny September afternoon... Was beautiful, children feeding swans, people strolling about. The people of Walsall are fortunate to have a first rate park, it's not often you can go any where for free... There's also a bowls area, and a great children's play ground, and a skate park.... As well as lots of benches you can sit on and ponder.... Despite there being plenty of rubbish bins I saw a number of people just dropping rubbish which was annoying...

It`s a nice park but there is quite a lot of building work still going on at the moment which detracts from the overall feel. The birdlife is great. We had problems parking- there are only a few parking spaces on the ring road, so we had to park in narrow residential side street, in front of someone`s house. I look forward to returning when all the work has been completed.

The Arboretum is a large haven of greenery in the centre of Walsall and a joy to encounter. It's a kids delight with lake, ducks an swans. Long walks, a cafe for tea, coffee and snacks:and as the name suggests a host of different trees. Here you can relax and enjoy as you stroll leisurely around.

Nice summer day and my friends 4 year old son learnt his 1st curse word, can't be repeated on here but contained a C and B now I know they can't control the people/kids there, but on the other side still a great place for kids and everyone to go, something for all could do with some more refreshments places and seating but not 3 bad. Also a short golf course again would be brill (hint, hint)

Walsall Arboretum is probably the best thing about Walsall. Following recent lottery funding there are huge improvements to the paths, play areas etc. Kids love the splashpool, and there are some nice walks at the top end through the woods and upto the canal. Generally well maintained. Looking forward to being able to stop off for a decent coffee and cake once the visitors centre is completed.... (although I fear it will be hotdogs, fries and burgers)

We love the Aboretum with so much to do. The splash park kept my boys entertained throughout the summer and they have a lovely park and skate park or you can just go for a walk and feed the ducks. Nice free day out!

Its basically a big park. That said its nice to enjoy a walk around the varying area. The town end has a couple of lakes with duck and some fishing available. Further in you can find some nice areas with water for kids, further in its open green areas, places to play ball and picnic if you want to. It is easy to walk around and would be ok for wheelchairs and prams. Its nice to be amongst trees and all things green so close to town. The shame is it has not got much colour

Worth a walk though
