I love every part of this park. The extension, the formal park, the activities, the cafe, the helpfulness of the rangers and staff. It is a lifeline in a busy town and for many people it provides the solace of nature that they would not be able to experience without it. Parks need people so make the most of this treasure.

Nice to have this area of peace and quite right next to the town centre. Lovely to walk through the arboretum and around the lakes, and the cafe is really good value for money. Lovely sandwiches, soup, kids meals and snacks.

Enjoyable for kids. Large playground for older and younger children. Zip wire, basic toilets and lots of green area for picnics, games, football etc. Free parking. Apart from my son thinking it was a good idea to jump over the stream and in mid air realising a muddy bog awaited him. Stuck in mud and a lost shoe! An expensive trip to the arboretum haha. All good fun and memories made.

Have a stroll around the lake (flat) with the ducks and swans or gentle slopes up to the tennis courts and water play area.

Beautiful location for any type of walker.

I use the park to get some fresh air with the little one in the pushchair. We park at the car park by Toby Carvery with a short, paved walk to the play area.

Walsall Arboretum is a good place for a nice walk, or a gentle stroll. It's bigger than it appears and if you know where to go you can head down onto the canal and make your walk last even longer.

The actual regular Arboretum part is nice all year round, with lovely foliage in spring and summer giving way to russet tones in the autumn and then bare branches in winter.

The grounds are immaculately kept and the lake is nice to walk around too.

They often have free events on, either in the visitor's centre or at the band stand area.

For a nice break from the city it's well worth a go.

We've created walks that last from about 30 minutes up to over 2 hours (by incorporating the canal in them).

Probably Walsall's largest and best park. A boating/fishing lake, a new visitors centre & cafe, a children's playground, a large extension of fields for an extended walk out towards the east joining up with other paths and a canal.

recently visited with my 2 young children. they have spent some money making some changes which was nice. I would recommend going in the summer as they have a small train that takes you around. they also have a lovely cafe which is nice.

The Arboretum is a friendly place with many leisure activities going on. There are table tennis tables, tennis courts, children's playground, basket ball courts and a skate park, not to mention the cafe and visitor's centre overlooking the lake. The lake itself is packed with wildlife and is overlooked by a magnificent Victorian Band Stand which hosts many musical shows during the summer months. The Visitor's Centre also run activity classes such as Pilates and Yoga. My children love the park & parking is simple and free.

We had another pleasant visit to the Arboretum. We took the kids to the park where there is lots to do. We have a little walk around. There is also a lake where you can see the ducks and swans. We also visited the café for a hot chocolate.

This is a nice park to visit.
