I used to go here years ago every September for the Illuminations. They're a bit of a distant memory these days but the arboretum is - as the name implies - leafy, pleasant and relaxing for a good walk around on a Sunday afternoon.

Lovely walks around the arboretum. Shame about the obvious amount of RATS!! that plague the park, think nothing of running in front of you on a regular basis.!!!😱

Nothing nicer than walking a dog in the early morning, watching how nature creates a beautiful space.

This is a very beautiful place to visit. I walk my dog here regularly. No two walks are the same, always something new to notice or someone new to meet. Plenty of ducks, geese and at the moment swans. The visitors centre and café are good. Sadly dogs are not allowed inside so unless I am with someone I can't relax and have a drink there. Wish there was a hatch as the seating area outside looks very inviting.

Great for a stroll, walk, run around. Nice and clean with plenty to do. Including seasonal boats, areas to skate, play football, basketball. There is also a sand pit and a park for the kids.
Visitors center is adequately equipped with place to freshen up.
There multiple entry points as well as a couple of car parks.

Beautiful park. A pleasure to have a nice walk in especially on a nice day. Great place for kids as it has an activity playground. For adults it also has a functional fitness section, both of which are free to use which is great.
There is a gorgeous lake where there is an abundance of different birds. The on site coffee shop seels bird feed which is great for the kids to feed the ducks. Always see people fishing here too. You can also pay and use the boats to row around the lake. It is a great park and is well maintained. Thus place also holds regular fun fairs during the summer months too.

Great for families. Well kempt and lots of open spaces to explore. Parking is difficult on busy days but it is a town park. Icecreams from the onsite shop are a rip off £2.40 for a 99!! Stick to the icecream van.
