Great little place, nice outdoor area, situated next to the canal, be lovely to sit in the garden in the summer. Food was delicious, staff were very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended. First time visit, will defo be returning.

Met family here for lunch, excellent service and the Sunday Roast is excellent value. Staff very attentive, good selection of real ales, lagers, wines and sports as you would expect. Parking is available, although the car park is small. Would be lovely by the canal in the summer, will return to try this out.

called in the fingerpost pub last Sunday had a three course meal food was excellent and the rice pudding with grapes in red wine was absolutely delicious. First class food and first class service. lovely company and a nice friendly pub. thank you Mark and Rosie.

Christmas Day lunch for 10 was spent in the Fingerpost. Fab food and a superb service from start to finish. A big well done to Mark, Rosey and the team with no complaints whatever from our party.

We have visited a couple of times recently with our family and two miniature dachshunds. This evening we had a meal and it was absolutely beautiful, couldn’t fault the meals we all throughly enjoyed them especially the fish it was so light and fluffy it was delicious! Mark and the team are always so welcoming and friendly nothing is too much trouble even when you have two noisy sausages in tow 😂😂. We’ve recently moved back to the area and this is becoming our favourite place to visit, thumbs up certainly recommended by us!!!
