Just good pub food but brilliantly put together top marks from me . Recommended time to go is all the time the level of service never changes and the staff are always there to help . Ant to the guys there if there was more stars you would get them cheers all

Although I live nearby this was my first visit in two years because last time I visited it was so disappointing. Following a change to Bert's Bistro there has been a vast improvement. It was quite busy for a Wednesday lunchtime but there was enough room to be comfortable and the atmosphere was relaxed. The staff are friendly and the service is good. The food is good and portions are generous - I recommend the homemade chips! We will be visiting again for an evening meal and it's great to find a good place to eat in Pelsall that is not a chain pub - it is no more expensive than the chain pubs either. It will be a lovely place to eat outside on a sunny day.

I had the pate which was a blended paste with sweet bread and treacle in the chutney the side salad was old being a diabetic this was hidden sugars I could do without. The main was uncooked veg and dry turkey. The pudding was meant to be cheese cake it was definitely not that.

Myself and my partner invited friends to visit. We chose Bertie's after reading the positive reviews here.
The landlord greeted us and was very friendly and helpful. All of the staff were the same and made us feel very welcome.The atmosphere and surroundings are very good.
The food was excellent! I chose fillet steak which was fantastic value for money and quality. We all ate a different dish and all four of us agreed it was as good as it gets.We will all be returning very soon.

This was our second visit to the finger post. The first visit was a quiet night but provided good hot food at a reasonable price and friendly service. This brought us back on a busier night and still we received a warm welcome good food and service. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. We'll definitely make this a local haunt.

I had a surf and turf. Service was good. All of the food on my plate was delicious, but the chips were cooked in beef dripping and were out of this world.I will definitely be returning.
The prices were reasonable, surf and turf was £9.99 and there were two for £10/12/14/16 deals.

There was no way I was able to finish the mixed grill, all the food was very nice and the onion rings were lovely too.

The finger post pelsall is a secret that's been well hidden from me until now! Lovely pub, catered for families, the meals were amazing, fresh, homemade chips, steaks cooked to perfection!! We will definitely be back and not just for special occasions as it was really good value, definitely recommend a visit!

This place since changing hands has once again become a very nice place to go and have a very nice meal in a lovely relaxed well decorated restaurant where proper home cooked food is served but with a classical finish.
If visiting Pelsall make a beline for the Fingerpost, you'll be surprised how good it is and won't be disappointed.

I have been to the Bistro a few times now and have not been disappointed by the food or the service. The only thing I would change would be to have a wider choice of wines....and maybe some soft background music during the quieter times . Otherwise good

Took the girlfriend here on a spare of the moment thing. Never eaten here before, but had been told by family it was reasonable. Is in lovely surroundings next to the canal. Good selection of beers. Nicely furnished and good layout. Menu on first impression wasn't that great, but chose a starter and a main each. Wasn't expecting anything amazing. Food arrived, and in all honesty it was fantastic. Excellent portions, and actually tasted like it was all made fresh unlike many of these other current 2 for £10 places. Absolutely loved it, and will definitely be eating here again. If I had to moan about anything, it would be that it lacked a little atmosphere, and maybe the staff could do with some retraining. Other than that, can't beat it for quality or value.

Wonderful meal, food was beautifully cooked, proper chips, the staff very friendly and efficient, will definitely be going again. Such a shame that trip advisor has not up dated their name. Please change asap as this venue should receive lots of positive comments. We are looking forward to our next visit.
