Went out for something to eat decided to go to the finger post last minute I've not been there for a while this was a good choice had the best meal for a long time value for money was great will be going again

Everything about our visit was wonderful. We stopped for a quick lunch with fingers crossed as I am a weight watcher and gluten free. Reece the chef prepared fresh and well cooked dishes. Will definitely visit again on a more regular basis.

Visited here on Saturday night as a party of 4. Service was very friendly, the place was lovely and clean. Couldn't fault the food, it was well cooked tasted lovely and there was lots of it. The chips are amazing aswell. I had a lamb and mint pie and it was really really good. Will definitely be visiting again

I have to say we visited the fingerpost unsure of what to expect...firstly as it was bank holiday and we were told there was no fish and limited starters we were concerned but as we'd had a taxi we had to stay!!!! ....and we were so glad we did the food was excellent it was tasty good portions and expertly cooked ...the staff were brilliant very attentive but not overpowering and they and the chef seemed genuinely concerned about our enjoyment of the food and our experience of the afternoon

Went for bank holiday food and drink with friends . Almost walked out when we were told the menu was limited due to no delivery. How wrong we were ended up stopping for 5 hours they had to almost throw us out food was excellent staff could not do enough for us . Thanks for a brilliant time we will be back .!

Lovely pub looks great and nice location especially in warmer weather, however we didn't like the kitchen staff consistently being in the pub area and going for cigarette breaks which has put us off eating here.

Had a lovely evening here with my wife, brother & sister in law. Food was excellent, the staff were very attentive and the prices quite reasonable. Good choice of beers and drinks as well. Will definitely visit again, hopefully in the summer when we can sit outside by the canal. Would definitely recommend.

We were aware the place had recently changed hands. The staff were attentive, the chef most helpful and the food absolutely delicious at a very reasonable price. Change the type of music playing and you've got it right .... Thank you for a fab experience!

Thought we would treat the parents to a Sunday lunch somewhere different and thought we would try The Finger Post as it's under new management and we were all pleasantly surprised, the food was really tasty and the prices were very reasonable too, my mum has special dietary requirements and the wait staff and the chef were really helpful in accommodating her.
The pub is nice and clean, the bar and wait staff were friendly and very helpful, it was also great to go out for food and not feel rushed, overall a great place and we shall be back.

The restaurant was empty for a Sunday lunchtime so we were able to find a table easily. I was disappointed that care was not given to the atmosphere. After reading good reports following new ownership we gave it a go - and so glad we did. The pub seems to be cleaner and airier than previous and benefits from some lively background music.
Beer was as excellent but more impressive was the food. A nice varied menu with some interesting choices (not your normal pub menu). Black pudding mash .... It's the future!!!!

After a lovely Sunday lunch, my partner and I decided to celebrate his birthday at the Fingerpost the following Wednesday. My partner is partial to ribeye steak so we asked on the sunday if this was still available. The chef assured us he would get some in for Wednesday. Wednesday arrived but ribeye wasn't on the menu! However the chef hadn't forgotten and made a trip into their sister restaurant in Walsall especially to get the steak! Apparently the order was sent to the other restaurant. We had to wait a while but boy was it worth it! Thank you chef for making my partners birthday!
