We went for our tea one night as been in before and saw how nice the food looked, we both had the Lamb and black pudding pie which was lovely, place was clean, staff were friendly and helpful, would go in again for food or even just for drinks

Let me start by saying what a lovely pub great atmosphere and a fantastic choice of real ales then we come to the food not very good. they say you have to wait for your food because every think is cooked fresh the chips were frozen and the chicken was pale and tasted bland like it had been boiled when the waitress came and asked if everything was o.k with the meal we mentioned about the chips being frozen she just collected the plates and went

This Pub should be an institution. It's been here long before all the other shops and outlets in Walsall. It's decor is a throwback to a much different time. It's not exactly time-travelling but you can get lost staring at all the photos on the wall of how Walsall and the surrounding areas used to look over 100 years ago. I happened to be having their Christmas lunch which was delicious however, it didn't leave me with that "Stuffed-Christmas" feeling. It could benefit from having a carvery. Nice place to kill some time.

Best pub in Walsall for real ales great selection in a traditional styled pub , no parking except disabled spaces outside pay and display only 5 minutes away .

Pub recently had its 10th birthday celebration as part of the Black Country Ales chain.
With a bonus Remembrance Day quiz to help raise funds for the Poppy Appeal.
The pub also has a very good monthly quiz on the 3rd Thur of the month.
Lovely food served.
The 16 or so real ales are excellent in quality.
Staff are friendly & knowledgeable.
Still the best pub in Walsall by miles.
