So many choice of lovely drinks in this pub, which is as a good as ever.
New evening menu out since 14 Jan 19. Not certain if it changing weekly or monthly, but new menu out this week too.
Now only doing food in evening’s Wed – Sat 5pm – 8pm. Last orders 7.30pm. Choice of 7 options plus specials option too with a few side dishes & four desserts all at £3.45 each.
Quiz still good as ever, & all staff are so knowledgeable & welcoming.
Brilliant friendly place to visit.

Beers good and meals generous and tasty! Beers are always changing, but also resident beers on to please most tastes! We go in there for just a drink or meals as well quite a few times.

First visit since the pub was re-furbished. What a delight!. 16 Real Ales to choose from plus 4 ciders. 2 of us had 3 different half pints each and everyone was superb if not exquisite. Friendly and helpful bar staff plus an interesting menu. My friend had the Faggots and thoroughly enjoyed them but having espied the "Grey Peas and Bacon", I just knew I had to try this local speciality that I'd never heard of in my life before; what is more I thoroughly enjoyed it and followed it up with one of their Cheese and Onion Cobs in lieu of a dessert. My meal was perfectly rounded off with a glass of the Titanic Plum Porter, that I'd never seen or tried before but will drink more of next time I see it .
What a wonderful lunch.

Great real ale pub. Such a brilliant wide choice. From Norfolk visiting friends it's very akin to Norwich's Fat Cat Pubs.

Let me start by saying what a lovely pub great atmosphere and a fantastic choice of real ales then we come to the food not very good. they say you have to wait for your food because every think is cooked fresh the chips were frozen and the chicken was pale and tasted bland like it had been boiled when the waitress came and asked if everything was o.k with the meal we mentioned about the chips being frozen she just collected the plates and went

This Pub should be an institution. It's been here long before all the other shops and outlets in Walsall. It's decor is a throwback to a much different time. It's not exactly time-travelling but you can get lost staring at all the photos on the wall of how Walsall and the surrounding areas used to look over 100 years ago. I happened to be having their Christmas lunch which was delicious however, it didn't leave me with that "Stuffed-Christmas" feeling. It could benefit from having a carvery. Nice place to kill some time.
