Passed my test in March last year all thanks to Jonathan. I had my fair share of driving instructors but my anxiety with driving was too much. Thanks to Jonathan and Rio, he pushed me and knew I could do well. He was a great instructor and our lessons were always fun and enjoyable. Thank you Jonathan and Rio😁

Gary is a good instructor, patient and knows what he's doing. If you mess up he won't make a big deal out of it and keeps composed. He's a good instructor and taught me how to drive more confidently.

I could not recommend Gary enough. Gary is easy to get along with and extremely supportive. He helped me overcome my nervousness and made me feel at ease and confident while also pushing me to be the best and safest driver I could be. Couldn't have passed first time without his patience and guidance.

“Having tried with a previous instructor prior to Gary, it was a refreshing experience having someone down to earth who was teaching you and chucked you straight in to actually driving. My first lesson I had done more with Gary than I had in 3 hours with my previous instructor.
Gary was very helpful throughout the lessons and answered any questions I had, no matter how silly they may have seemed to be. Also, considering the situation with COVID and the effect this has had on waiting times for booking the practical driving test, Gary continued to support and encourage me to continue despite failing on my first attempt, and didn’t use the waiting period as an excuse to get more unnecessary lessons out of me. He acknowledges when you are ready and I felt very comfortable trusting his opinion on this.
Overall, a very easy to get along with, down to earth person who makes the whole process of learning how to drive one that does not feel like an ordeal and instead an experience. Very useful especially for people like me who get very nervous and anxious in test situations.”

I cannot recommend Paul at Rio Driving school highly enough. He is calm, reassuring and professional. He not only tailored and focused the lessons to my personal needs but worked really well with me to help build my confidence in a safe and professional way.
I hold a driving license but after having had an accident 10years ago I hadn't driven and was incredibly anxious to be behind the wheel again after so long. He communicates clearly, he is calm and reassuring and ultimately improved my confidence and competence far more than I could have hoped in a short amount of time. I give Paul 10/10 and thoroughly recommend him and Rio driving school to anybody who wants to feel safe and confident behind the wheel. Thank you so much Paul - truly grateful for all your help!

Passed my test today; first time with two minors all thanks to my amazing instructor Gary From Rio driving school. I started with no previous experience and it took around 4 months to get up to test standard. Gary was exceptional; really knowledgeable and most importantly patient! He gave me the knowledge and the confidence I needed to pass and I couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

I had Jonathan since my 17th birthday last year as my instructor. From day 1 he was a lovely instructor, sitting in a car with a stranger is always awkward but Jonathan made it feel like you’d known each other years and you instantly relax. He’d always reassure you when you’d make a mistake that it doesn’t matter and how to avoid/correct it in the future. Due to COVID I’ve only just been able to take my test and passed first time due to the quality of Jonathans teaching, if you aren’t confident in something he’ll go over it until you’re happy to move on. I enjoyed each one of my lessons and will miss my Saturday mornings driving . I would highly recommend Jonathan to anyone learning to drive.

My instructor Roy was the driving force behind my success today. I am beyond please with my lessons. I got constant encouragement when I did well and endless lectures when it didn't go too well. In all was a great experience with him and would definitely recommend to others.

Jonathan was a fantastic driving instructor, really friendly always made me feel calm, his ways of teaching were really good, I looked forward to every lesson with him.
