Omg can’t recommend this place enough Debbie and Mel are amazing. Took dad here for his 90th birthday. He has dementia, in a wheelchair, can’t speak and struggles with his swallow but nothing was too much trouble. Debbie did special food for him and made him an amazing birthday trifle as he can’t have cake. Food was great, place can only be described as “ made with love”, the people heartwarming. Nothing was too much trouble they made dad’s lunch perfect. Cant thank them enough. Highly recommend 💕

We celebrated Tony’s 88th birthday today. The place is cosy and has a nostalgic atmosphere with very friendly and attentive staff. The afternoon tea is nicely displayed on china cake stands and everything is delicious. Definitely a place to put on your list of places to visit.

Wonderful quirky 1940s themed cafe. The thing you'd expect in a Devon village, not on ASDA island. Owners lovely, good prices and wartime themed food. I was tempted by spam and dripping on toast but went for the corned beef. Terrific afternoon.

Enjoyed the Christmas tea experience very much indeed. I was welcomed at the door on my arrival, which was a nice added touch. The food was very fresh and varied. Excellent efficient service (as always) made for a very enjoyable evening.
I would highly recommend Pigeons Parlour for all occasions!

A very unique quirky venue which I would recommend a visit to to soak up the 1940’s atmosphere.
Staff were very welcoming and the service was good.
For the amount being charged for the afternoon tea my only comment as a means of bettering the authenticity of the experience would be that it would have been nice if the bread used for the sandwiches was not standard supermarket sliced bread, there was a better selection of home baked cakes and that authentic glass jars for the jam , cream and trifle be used as opposed to plastic ones….this is something easily ‘doable’ which would so enhance what is already an amazing product…many thanks for a lovely day ✨

Wonderful staff, great place for tea. The place is historically themed and tastefully decorated, with many details everywhere for visitors to discover. The staff were very friendly and showed us around when they realized my friend and I were fascinated with all the details.

My first visit this afternoon
will certainly not be my last. I took my mother in law for a 90th birthday treat.
I cannot fault a thing, the staff were so attentive from the minute the door was opened for us. The actual tea was delicious, with a '90' cut sandwich making a lovely touch. Plenty of fresh pots of tea were served. They sang happy birthday using her name, clearly having noted all these little details when I booked. Such tiny attention to detail added to a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere which we both thoroughly enjoyed.
I highly recommend!

A lovely 1940s themed coffee shop with a great selection of classic British sandwiches and cakes. An extensive tea collection. The staff couldn’t do more to make our visit a good one. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area

A delightful Forties pastiche - no Woolton Pie, but a lovely high tea, so that supper won't be a thing today.

Invited by an older friend for a birthday with a nought at the end, it was a very pleasant way to pass two hours. The only downside was a screen showing a Laurel and Hardy film, silently: a distracting double act, so that the conversation got away from me a couple of times.

An experience to treasure, and a place to return to.

My niece wanted an afternoon tea to celebrate her birthday. I asked her to let me have some choices of which Pigeons Parlour was one. I have to say when I saw where it was situated in Great Barr I was very sceptical but on seeing the reviews on Tripadvisor I was reassured so went ahead. I can honestly say we were not disappointed. This is a very quirky place with every inch packed with 1950's memorabilia which her 11 year old son found very interesting. The afternoon tea was excellent, great value for money and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Would have no qualms recommending.
