We are from the lake district we took my mam today we had a really nice time it was like going back in time really enjoyed lokking back in time the food was excellent next time were downvwere going for afternoon tea we were made really welcome thanks for a nice time

Fantastic little gem of a place. Went this afternoon with family for afternoon tea. Absolutely loved it...even the loo is atmospheric with its Titanic theme! Lovely staff, great food, great service. We even had a sing song on the piano!....Would definitely recommend. Thank you for a fabulous afternoon 🤗

A lovely 1940s themed coffee shop with a great selection of classic British sandwiches and cakes. An extensive tea collection. The staff couldn’t do more to make our visit a good one. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area

A delightful Forties pastiche - no Woolton Pie, but a lovely high tea, so that supper won't be a thing today.
Invited by an older friend for a birthday with a nought at the end, it was a very pleasant way to pass two hours. The only downside was a screen showing a Laurel and Hardy film, silently: a distracting double act, so that the conversation got away from me a couple of times.
An experience to treasure, and a place to return to.

My niece wanted an afternoon tea to celebrate her birthday. I asked her to let me have some choices of which Pigeons Parlour was one. I have to say when I saw where it was situated in Great Barr I was very sceptical but on seeing the reviews on Tripadvisor I was reassured so went ahead. I can honestly say we were not disappointed. This is a very quirky place with every inch packed with 1950's memorabilia which her 11 year old son found very interesting. The afternoon tea was excellent, great value for money and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Would have no qualms recommending.

Been here a few times and always a great place for afternoon tea, staff are amazing and always on hand for anything you may need, if your looking for somewhere different, this is the place to come

We had an absolutely beautiful afternoon tea yesterday for my mum and dad’s 40th wedding anniversary. The attention to detail was fabulous. (Sandwiches cut into a big 40) and my mum and dad even had ruby anniversary tea cups with a heart shaped spoon. They absolutely loved their day. We went along with four children and they loved their afternoon tea and the jumpers on the tea pots.
Out the back is gorgeous, you’d never imagine the place was so big.
My dad loved looking round at all the trinkets and bits around the walls and shelves.
It was a beautiful day, one we will always remember as a family, so thank you so much for making it so special.

Fabulous tiny little tea parlour. Decor based around 1939-45 so very vintage.Atmosphere is lovely. Staff dress appropriately for the era. Lovely people. Super afternoon teas served with bone China cups to enjoy your tea in. Highly,highly recommend a visit . ❤️❤️

We had afternoon tea here on Saturday for a friends birthday. Food was amazing service was excellent staff were so attentive. Atmosphere was great so quirky. They catered for all our individual dietary needs. A really lovely experience will certainly visit again and can recommend.

This is a gem of a place, step back into 1940, with all the beautiful old pictures and furniture and enjoy and afternoon tea presented to perfection.
There is always a lovely warm welcome from the owner Debbie and her husband, nothing is too much trouble ever!
Or if you feel like a nice chilled evening listening to music through the era's to present day they also put on music events every week with local musicians.
They also have an upstairs area which is great for small parties, and and outside area for those chilled summer evenings.
Can't recommend this place enough for it's great character and atmosphere.

Yet again an absolute delight. Welcomed by staff at the door and shown to our table. Surrounded by 1940’s memorabilia afternoon tea was served. Fresh and plentiful sandwiches, cakes, scones and biscuits to name a few. Exceptional ambience and quality at a very reasonable price.
