Our Lhasa Apso received EXCELLENT care from vet Sam Layland this week. Sam listened attentively, acted accordingly based on the information we provided. Sam had a very calm disposition with our temperamental Oscar. Sam explained everything to us so we understood the investigations he recommended. Very thorough examinations on both appointments this week.
Pleased to state our Oscar has made a remarkable recovery following just one dose of Mertrazapine, prescribed by Sam. A huge relief to us all as we feared we were losing our boy.
I’ve always found the care at 387 to be of exceptionally high standard but have only ever needed basic query or routine appointments for our dogs previously. This week provided us with a different insight into the level of care and service at 387 with our concerns due to Oscar vomiting bile and refusing to eat.
Rachel took my call yesterday. I felt she acted above and beyond by going to find Sam to ask what was best to do based on what I had said. I thank her for this.

387 Vets were recommended to us 10 yrs ago when we had our dog Rio. We had to visit with her as an emergency once & they were amazing with her & us. Very recently, we needed their help again & and unfortunately, there was nothing they could do for her, the whole team, especially Sam.

Went to see hamish for a second opinion. Very impressed with helpful pleasant polite reception staff. We felt our previous dealt with situation coldly and not in real world with finances. Hamish explained what he thought needed doing first explained everything thoroughly generous with his time. Hamish even illustrated with diagram. Took ownership. Our older dog is nervous people / dogs adjustments made. Sorted time to scan her so we could sit / wait and hand her back to us.Hamish showed us our dogs scan pictures re assured. So impressed we are staying with 387 & our other dog moved over to them. He understood finances are tight and he was in real world. 387 gain as we will visit every month for cartrophen injections & 3 monthly for our other dog who has a condition. Massive thank you to you all for sorting out costs setting up monthly treatment etc. we want the best for our dogs we are sure we have found it in 387.

I love these vets. The reception and vet staff are always friendly. Sometimes the only comment is you can wait up to 25 mins after appointment but today was spot on.

We recently adopted two Chihuahua boys from a local dog pound, although the boys had been seen by a vet before being released into our care, we were advised there were dental needs that would need addressing in the coming months. Both dogs were also still entire. I called a few surgeries to get some idea of pricing and was slightly taken a back at some of the quotes given. A good friend who has used 387 vets for years recommended I tried giving them a call.
From the absolute first phone call they were polite and friendly, and they had come highly recommended so I booked in.
We met with Carlos, he was kind and thorough, didn't rush us and was good with boys (who were still only 6 days in our care) Both boys needed a lot of teeth out, both needed castration, one had an abscess near his bottom but all issues were addressed during their surgeries.
The boys have recovered well, and all the time whilst in the care of 387 nothing was ever to much trouble, from the girls on reception to the vet nurses and vets, they were all very professional, but most of all, friendly and reassuring.
The cost of the boys surgery was more than competitive given some of the other quotes I had received and has totally transformed our two little Chihuahuas lives. The boys can now eat properly and so are gaining much needed weight and they're happy little chappies.
To Carlos and team, thank you for everything we are forever grateful.

Highly recommend both Rachel the nurse and hamish the vet they are amazing helping us with our journey with our boy Max and his separation anxiety. They take their time with your pet my boy is a bit nervous around vets due to a bad experience in the past and they both took their time and went down to his level and did everything they could to make his visit enjoyable.

Myself and my wife would like to say thank you to 387 vets for all there kindness shown towards our beloved dog Jake, unfortunately we had to let him go to sleep on the 11th October, all the vets who dealt with Jake over the 6 years we had him where amazing and tried everything possible to help him, we would like to say a special thanks to Carlos who was involved in Jakes care, Sam who was there to support us at the end and Emma who took time to talk to me as she was finishing her shift.

Absolutely outstanding service, my parents used Amish for years, he will remember CAT, she lived till she was 22, I held her paw as he put her to sleep, the most caring vet I have ever met, he made sure it was himself who put her to rest, now my old girl dory is in his trusted care , my cat dory is 18, and I know she's in the best possible hands.

I have been using Hamish since he first opened 387 many years ago.
He is an amazing vet & even though we have now moved to Derbyshire we still use him & his team as we wouldn't want to go anywhere else for our dogs veterinary needs.
