First thing is you’ll notice how much cleaner and modern the page looks, although in reality, not much has actually changed except the layout and the navigation.
The big change is that your profile picture is now placed in the top left corner of the page which means it no longer sits over your cover image (how many of us have struggled with that in the past?)
The main cover image has moved over to the right and no longer has to allow for your profile picture sitting over it (YAY!)
All the images are supposedly the same size as they were although you may find you need to slightly reposition or adapt them to look their best in the new frames. If your cover image had to be adapted to cater for the overlay of the profile picture, it may need an update.
The more prominent ‘call to action’ button is located beneath the cover image as before, but is much larger. The previous functions within the ‘call to action’ button are all still available.
The new layout and navigation, where users can go to sections of your Facebook page is customisable depending on your business. Essentially, all the functionality you have been used to is still there and in theory, easier to find and use.
Finally, the new Pages are free from Ads which some will see as good news and others may see as a backward step. On the basis that less than 20% of Facebook’s Ad revenue is derived from Desktop Ads, it’s probably understandable.
And that’s it. A fresh new look; a more user friendly layout, especially as regards the images, and a clearer call to action.
All you need to do now is make your page work hard for your business.
