Telford Business Club, which tours different venues in the town each month, has grown significantly over the last 12 months with members and visitors enjoying the different venues and cuisine.
The next meeting, which will be an open evening for all visitors regardless of whether they have visited the club before, will be held at The Best Western Valley Hotel in Ironbridge on July 8.
Guests arrive from 5.30pm and can enjoy pre-meeting drinks on the terrace before the meeting starts at 6pm.
The guest speakers for the event will be Ella Sips and Lois Breen from Telford & Wrekin Council for Voluntary Service who will tell business owners about the new Community Business Award.
Kirsty Smallman, Telford Business Club chairwoman, said the club wanted to encourage businesses from across the borough regardless of their size or whether they have networked before.
She said: “Our new committee is working hard together to form a fun, productive and successful business club.
“The feedback from Branching Out at Wyldwoods, where last month’s meeting was held, was fantastic and that was certainly the most diverse venue we had visited.
“The hosts themselves said they couldn’t have paid money for the advice and knowledge they gained from people in the room.
“We have certainly toured the ‘world’ as planned over the last 12 months with cuisine from China, India, Thailand, France, Italy and of course the Best of British.
“We are all looking forward to meeting a host of new people from businesses across the borough and further afield.
“We often get quite a few visitors and members travelling from the West Midlands and from other parts of Shropshire to join us which is great.
“The club has got a great buzz about it and people are certainly enjoying referring business to each other and also supporting each other when needed.”
The cost to join the Telford Business Club is £150 a year, which includes a hot meal at every meeting on the second Tuesday of the month.
Visitors can attend at a cost of £15 per meeting. All places have to be booked in advance due to catering.
Telford Business Club does not charge an additional monthly fee and does not request people to send a substitute.
