Spring flowers at the Old Rectory in Telford

I looked out of one of our large Georgian windows this morning, and admired the large clumps of Snowdrops which have come through the harsh winter better than ever. There are more than one variety but it needs an expert to identify them.

Further down the garden, the Hellebores are also in flower. Around the back in shelter from the wind, primroses are a welcome sight under the wall.

Crocuses are popping up, and being our first year here, it is exciting to discover what comes next.

There are daffodils in bud that have appeared from nowhere and look strong and sturdy, full of promise for a colourful display.

And to follow, there are hundreds of bluebells pushing through under the trees, with promise of a contrasting blue against the daffodils bright yellow.

Come and stay with us and enjoy the garden and others nearby.
