The charity’s 2015 Ride Out, which took place in April, was attended by over 5,000 bikers, who followed seven times world Superbike Champion, Carl Fogarty, and TV presenter Richard Hammond along the 23 miles route from Meole Brace in Shrewsbury to the home of the Bike4Life Festival, RAF Museum Cosford.
2016 will be Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s sixth annual Ride Out, which coincides with the charity’s 25th anniversary celebrations. Through the support of RAF Cosford, the 2016 Festival will be held on the airfield, allowing for more visitors, displays, exhibitors, refreshments and more.
With just 5,000 places available, and pre-registration only, keen motorcyclists and pillions are being encouraged to visit www.bike4lifefest.comto register for one of the country’s best biker events.
Jason Levy, fundraising and marketing director for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, and chair of the Bike4Life organising committee states: “We are already speaking to a number of famous faces to come and support the Ride Out, so do check out the website and our Facebook page to find out more.
“Over 10,000 visitors attended the 2015 event, and we’re expecting a greater number to attend in 2016. We’re therefore moving the Festival to a bigger site on the airfield to accommodate everyone – meaning this really will be our biggest and best year yet!
Tickets for the Ride Out cost £10, which includes free entry to the Bike4Life Festival for the rider and a pillion. Tickets for the Festival alone are just £5 per person and children under 16 go free. The Festival will feature various trade stands, bike dealers, arena displays, live music and refreshments.
Jason adds: “While encouraging bikers to come together and have a great time, above all our priority is to ensure all everyone attending remains safe, which is why only those who have preregistered for the Ride Out will be able to participate.”
Bike4Life Ride Out and Festival 2016 is being run in collaboration with the RAF Museum Cosford, Safer Roads Partnership and West Mercia Police.
