Refurbishing your alloy wheels with Powder Coating

In most cases we fully refurbish the wheel and we will remove the tyre.

You can bring your wheels to us without the tyres, or you can leave the car with us and we can strip and refit the tyres and re-balance the wheels. We can also supply and fit new tyres for you if they are required to save another trip to a tyre dealer.

Most wheels are gently blasted by hand to remove previous layers of lacquer and paint. Our aim is to obtain a smooth metal surface in preparation for coating.

If the wheels are in a particularly poor condition (you would be amazed at the transformation) we will chemically strip them prior to blasting.

We will then prepare the wheels, dress and prepare them to deal with any damage to the rim edges and the face.

If your wheels are buckled or badly dented for safety reasons they may require structural repairs or replacement but we will give you our expert advice.

Our next stage would be where the wheels are gently heat treated to remove any air from the alloy before a first stage powder coat finish is applied.

The wheel is then cured for a specific time period.

Once cured the wheel will undergo a 'wet-in-wet' procedure where a special paint and clear-coat finish are applied.

The wheels then undergo a further thermal treatment and the lacquer coat is applied to enhance the finish and also protect the alloy wheel against salt, moisture and dirt and anything else the road throws at it.

We have many different finishes and colours available for your wheel refurbishment and we are always happy to discuss the options with you.
