The Huntsman of Little Wenlock has teamed up with Halfpenny Green Vineyards to celebrate English Wine week at the end of May.

The award winning Shropshire restaurant and public house will be celebrating the annual English Wine Week, which runs from Saturday 28th May to Sunday 5th June. Telford based wine distributors, Addisons Wines, helped connect the two midlands businesses. The celebratory week was set up by the English Wine Producers organisation and designed to raise awareness of wines made throughout the country.

The Hunstman, which is situated on the outskirts of Telford, will be serving a selection of English wines to accompany restaurant meals to mark the occasion. Their 'English Wine weekend' celebrations will run-over the Spring bank holiday weekend, from Saturday 28th May to Monday 30th May, with the restaurant being open for food during the daytime from 12pm. Customers will be able to sample numerous wines with every meal purchased.

Mr Morris of The Hunstman said: “English wine production has increased in the UK with the warmer climates which has helped improved production. We were keen to work with Halfpenny Green Vineyards as they are a quality local producer and we utilise Addisons Wines for our entire imported wine list.

“English Wine Week is the perfect way to mark the beginning of the tourist season and to celebrate the wine industry within our country.”
