The team at a Shropshire wedding venue is finding couples are getting more and more creative as they plan their big day.
In a bid to have a unique event rather than a ‘cookie cutter’ wedding, ideas for 2017 dates are getting bigger and bolder than ever.
While some couples may prefer to stick to the traditional day guests will be familiar with, many others are injecting a large dose of colour and personality to provide a real wow factor.
The Best Western Valley Hotel is a listed Georgian, family run, independently-owned hotel based in the beautiful World Heritage Site of Ironbridge.
Having undergone a transformation, it’s the perfect mix of old and new and the inside decor gives couples the chance to really run with a theme or quirky idea.
Staff at the hotel are looking forward to meeting happy couples planning their big day at the hotel’s wedding fayre on Sunday (September 11th) from 11am to 3pm where more than 300 exhibitors will be there.
While a wedding breakfast is a must, some couples are looking to impress with anything from carnival-style to Wild West inspired food.
Favours have risen in popularity over the last few years with ideas getting more extravagant by the day - from personalised chocolates, tea bags or coffee as a delicious wedding favour to lottery tickets or a Polaroid snap of their day.
It seems even the bridal suites are seeing a few changes with some couples ditching the traditional matching robes in their bedroom for personalised onesies!
It used to be bride and grooms would take memories home in the form of a traditional photo album but now the sky’s the limit when it comes to creative snapping opportunities.
Photobooths are a particularly popular choice which have been around for a couple of years now but don’t look to be getting any less popular during 2017. In particular, lovebirds tying the knot at The Valley have been loving the caravan photobooth company Martha, based in the nearby Newtown in Mid Wales, which comes with the option of a professional photographer (http://www.marthathephotobooth.co.uk/).
It’s even now possible to have your wedding video shot at movie-level standards so you can invite your loved ones to a special screening at a private cinema. Or if that seems too extravagant there’s also the option of a video kiosk so guests can record their own message to the newlyweds.
The Valley team’s also seeing chalk boards, upcycled props and vintage inspiration still going strong as they approach 2017 while animated cakes, Instagram hashtags and DIY confetti making are all on the rise.
Whatever the couple’s idea, staff at The Valley are on hand to turn it into a reality and give the couple a day they’ll never forget.
