Blists Hill Victorian Town in the Ironbridge Gorge, Shropshire will open its doors on the evening of Saturday, 5th November for a spectacular fireworks extravaganza.
Visitors will be able to enter Blists Hill at 6pm to see the town’s streets as they would have been in the 19th century. The shops, cottages and workshops will be open and visitors can talk to the ‘resident’ Victorians, dressed in the costume of the day, who will answer questions about life in the late 1800s. Blists Hill Victorian Town’s Canal Street is also sure to be a popular attraction, with its Sweet Shop and Fried Fish Dealers.
This year’s fireworks extravaganza will be best viewed from the Village Green; as always there will be a brilliant display over the Ironbridge Gorge starting at around 7.30pm, for all to enjoy. There will also be a line of burning braziers alongside the canal and a spectacular display of iron working in Britain’s only working iron mill.
Tickets for the fireworks extravaganza must be purchased in advance
This popular fun event will start at 6pm. Tickets must be purchased in advance priced at £9 adults and £6 children aged 3 -16 years.
