The Golden Ball Inn is a traditional Public House with centuries of history. It is the oldest licensed premises in the area, dating back to 1728 - some 50 years before the Iron Bridge. Needless to say, The Golden Ball Inn has a wealth of charm and character and retains many of it's original features. It is the ideal place to bring friends and family for a drink and food and offers a superb fine dining experience.
Chef and Owner, Kevin Price is excited about pushing the boundaries when it comes to dining at The Golden Ball, and whilst the menu caters for all tastes, with a wide range of delicious and freshly prepared traditional style dishes, you are also quite likely to find locally sourced Pheasant, Venison or Pigeon on the regularly changing menu.
The Golden Ball serve their fabulous and innovative food menu in both the Bar and Restaurant, so you can choose to eat wherever best suits your mood and the occasion. When the weather favours, their sunny garden and courtyard is just perfect for dining al fresco.
All menus are listed on the blackboard and change regularly with the seasons, enabling the freshest local produce to be incorporated into the selection. Every dish is made from scratch - only the very best, fresh ingredients are used - and all stocks and sauces are prepared freshly in-house.
The Bar is open all day, every day (see details below) and offers a selection of Real Ales, both draught and bottled Cider, along with many different Continental Beers and Lagers on draught or by the bottle. Naturally, there is also an extensive Wine List along with the traditional brands of Spirits, Liquers and Soft Drinks.
