Did you know that nearly many MOT tests fail first time because of minor faults that the owner could easily have fixed beforehand?

Priorslee Motors is a family run garage who pride themselves on their excellent service record and high standard of customer care, the experienced team tell us five simple things that you can do to help you pass your MOT.

  • Top up your screen wash – it really only takes minutes
  • Clean the interior – clean out the mess in the boot and give the mirrors and windows a wipe
  • Registration plate – check your registration plate. Ensure it shows the correct type face/spacing, check it is clean and if it is a personalised plate make sure it follows DVLA rules.
  • Windscreen stickers – make sure there are no stickers blocking the driver’s view. Ensure that anything stuck to the windscreen, including tax disc and parking permits, is outside the wipers’ sweep area.
  • Ensure the lit-up warning light on the dashboard. The MOT has included lit-up warning lights since 2012, ensure you know what this means and sort out any underlying problems before the MOT.

An MOT certificate confirms that at the time of the test, your car will meet minimum road safety and environmental standards.   So if your MOT is due, book in at Priorslee Motor Services today by calling 01952 427 894.
