Myself and 4 family members attended a recent ball at Oake golf club near Taunton. It was a superb location. All staff were attentive to your needs, table clearing, making sure you had what you'd ordered etc. Speedy bar service with offers of double up drinks for £2 more. The venue was superb. The dance floor area was perfect. The whole meal for the ball was 5 star stuff. Not one of our group finished our delicious carvery as there was so much. They do carvery every Sunday usually too. The horseradish sauce was hot and spicy perfection. I will be intending to go again next year. Plenty of car park space too.

Went here for lunch today with my wife and sister.lovely setting and attentive staff alas the food was disappointing. My wife and sister both had the roast of the day. When it arrived the roast potatoes were black and the plates were stone cold. I don't think it's to much to ask to have warm plates for a hot meal.

The food and service was perfect and the venue itself was ideal, with great views and plenty of car parking and space inside. We used Oake Manor Golf Club for my Mum's Wake because we wanted something near to Taunton Crematorium that could accommodate a large group. Its difficult to know how many to cater for when organising a funeral. We went for 180 which was ample (just over 200 attended the Crematorium so 180 was about right for the Wake).

Food was lovely, staff was lovely. Attended the 70's night. Unfortunately we didn't take full advantage of the evening cos we xouodbt get on the dance floor as not enough room. The DJ also used way too much bass and we couldn't have a conversation with any sense and I came away with such a headache and that doesnt happen when I go to discos etc. No disrespect too, there were 6 hen parties and they took over the whole night

Attended a funeral wake today. Excellent food. Staff friendly and attentive. None stop coffee and tea. Thank you Oake Manor every thing EXCELLENT.!!!.

Drive up to the clubhouse through the grounds is beautiful, but the club house and dinner were disappointing.
My children’s school prom was held there this evening and although spectator parking was organised well with parking attendants, the meal was not good, with soggy roast potatoes, dried tough beef and unpleasant tasting carrots.
My children we’re unable to eat their meal and asked to leave at 9:40 as they were hungry.
Unfortunately I would not support another prom being hosted here by the school.
It looks like a reasonable golf course which was well attended by a variety of golfers who were out on the course this evening until sunset. The outward views of the distant hills are beautiful.

I have been here on many different occasions our Wedding,after a funeral,lunch time meal and a few Christmas party events.Service is always excellent and the food is never a let down .Everything is brilliant

Best place I know for losing golf balls. If you are serious about losing balls, this is the course. The number of places that present opportunities is simply staggering. Many places involve water. Or gardens. Or adjacent fields. And then there's the fairways that don't dog-leg as far as they should. With the course being so well manicured, it is a delightful experience losing handfuls of balls. One of the truly greats!

I visited a fortnight ago for a tribute/disco & hot buffet night. I found my vegetarian choice quite bland, and as one of the last to queue up, my portion size was smaller than others around me. I was quite hungry when I'd finished. A bottle of prosecco was £24.50p. Quite pricey and not a good quality bottle at all. The music was so loud that we found it hard to have any sort of conversation. I had really been looking forward to my first night out there post-covid, but it all felt very rushed. Perhaps I just attended on an off evening. I'll try again, perhaps.

Visited for lunch today for my dad's 89th birthday. The food was excellent, especially the variety of amazing puddings and all the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. A special thank you to Natalie who hearing it was dad's birthday provided a candle for his pudding and a rendition of Happy Birthday was sung. A small gesture that made an elderly man very happy.
