Always good things on, today there were some animals, the staff are very welcoming, I often visit with the child I support. It's free but they suggest a donation which can be cash or card

Really well set out, some decent exhibits (eg complete Roman mosaic, really good fossils) and they tell the story of Somerset well. It all looks and feels professional and academically authentic - and it's free!

For a free museum it was fantastic. Lots of information and some very interesting artefacts on display, well laid out and easy to see. The cafe did a good cup of tea, a fair range of cakes and food. Excellent for a rainy morning. Free carpark as well

Free admission to enter the museum, ideal for a wander around to learn a few things. Some interactive areas for kids to learn and enjoy themselves. Small café on site with seating in and outdoors.

Absolutely fantastic museum!! So much to see and learn about, and all linked to Somerset.
Some of the items on display are truly breathtaking, both in their age and history. All well presented and of huge variety, there is something for everyone.
The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the food from the cafe was delicious (a particularly spectacular ginger cake!!)
We spent nearly 4 hours there, and happily donated to their excellent work. To be honest, I was surprised at just how much they have packed in, without it becoming overwhelming, and how effortlessly one can cruise round soaking it all up!
Loved it. Thank you so much!

A very interesting museum, which showcases the history of Somerset. We spent several hours there on a rainy day and really enjoyed it. Beware though, it is not open on Mondays.

An excellent story is told in easily digestible format. The exhibits are wonderfully presented and the museum is a lovely combination of ancient exterior and modern interior. Cakes and coffee/hot chocolate were enjoyable. Two hours well spent!

One of the best museums I’ve ever been. Very pretty and interactive. Staffs are very friendly. For such high quality displays and environment, I can’t believe it’s all free. The café is lovely, too. Very clean toilet and baby friendly.
